Sam is a contemporary, naive style Artist.
Based on the beautiful Southwest, Cornish coast Sam lives with her husband, two children and dog Alfie. In her younger years she went to art college where she studied Art and design and has recently started up her small Art Business after bringing up the family. Sam draws
her inspiration from her local landscapes and surroundings.
Her unique, bold, colourful naive style makes her art a joyous interpretation to be viewed. The ‘Happy Holidays’ Collection are bright, uplifting and colourful representations of some of the local landscapes of Cornish towns and popular destinations and her artworks are particularly popular with the holiday makers.
Sam is also fond of creating art with fun, quirky characters that are inspired by her imagination, Cornish heritage, ocean life, surfing and local folklore.
Sam has a strong instinct for intuitive art and her recent works are done using her favourite medium acrylic but she also likes to explore with other mediums, watercolour or spray paints, usually on canvas at her home but she very much enjoys an exciting mural project, having volunteered her art for local charity clubs, hospitals, schools and theatres.
Her work has an illustrative feel and is also something she wishes to pursue.
Her influences are Paul Gaugin, Matisse, Heather Brown, Alfred Wallis, Henry Rousseau and many more.
